Since our inception, we have believed in giving back to the communities where we live and work. Each year our donations of fresh fruits and vegetables support the good work of many local churches, charities and organizations.

Greater Cleveland Food Bank

Our longest and most extensive partnership is with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, Northeast Ohio’s largest hunger relief organization. One in six residents in our six-county area is food insecure, and Sanson is committed to helping combat hunger by providing nutritious options to our neighbors in need. We have supported the Food Bank since its creation in 1979, and our involvement has included:

  • Donating more than 12 million pounds of produce and more than 10 million meals since 2003.

  • Sponsoring the Taste of the Browns fundraiser every year since the NFL began the program in 2003.

  • Supporting the annual Market the Food Bank event.

  • Offering surplus produce from our suppliers at greatly discounted prices.

  • Contributing as a key donor toward the construction of a state-of-the-art community food distribution center, opened in 2005.
